Field Notes

Description:

The White Peacock is active mainly in the mornings. During the midday heat, it rests in semi-shaded situations or in open sunlight with its wings held erect. Late afternoon situations find this butterfly basking towards the top of plants to catch the late sun.

Habitat:

White peacocks are found in fields, parks, gardens, orchards, riverbanks, etc. - areas that are warm, open and have ready access to water.
