Field Notes
Description:
These mushrooms have been continuously growing on my front lawn directly after a big rainstorm. They are about five or six inches tall with thick stems, and caps that are white with lumpy, brown speckles. Also, they typically grow in clusters of about three to six.
Habitat:
I live in New Jersey, and they first started appearing in June of this year so it was very hot out, but for awhile it had been rainy. When they grow back, it is solely on a small corner of the lawn.
Notes:
I am curious to know what type of mushroom they are, and if they are poisonous.
