i'd say Melospiza maxima and i'm guessing female. good pix, thank you,
This is a nice series of the Song Sparrow race commonly seen in our area Tom, "morphna" race of the Pacific Northwest, I believe.
It's a Fox Sparrow. Nice photos!
Clay colored sparrow (Spizella pallida) perhaps? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clay-colored_Sparrow
He looks a bit fluffled up like it is cold or wet! Cool series.
Could be a juvenile white-crowned sparrow. An any case, delightful photos!
