Field Notes

Description:

I found this wandering glider dragonfly sitting on an almost dried out weed along a trail near Casper's Recreational Area, Orange County, CA. This is the first beige bodied dragon fly I've spotted this season and the only one that sat still long enough for me to photograph (at about a 2 foot distance).

Thanks, Cindy. I was so lucky and the sun was sparkling on it's wings. Most that I see are red or blue and moving very fast.
