Description:
A female orb weaver spider - Araneidae, possibly Cyrtarachne sp.
It's size is about 6mm from forehead to the tip of it's abdomen.
It looks like a hermit crab because of it's abdomen looking like a hermit crab's shell.
You can see the tip of it's abdomen has several black dots that might be it's spinnerets.
Habitat:
Found it walking on this plant next to a big stream beside Sabah Tea Garden, Ranau, Sabah, Malaysia.
Notes:
While visiting the famous Fish Spa in Luanti River (more like a stream), I saw this spider crawling around this plant next to the stream.
My first impression is that it looks like a hermit crab.
