Field Notes

Description:

When I saw it, it was picking moist soil in its mouth parts and then flying away to add it to its nest. It came back 5-6 times to do the same. It is famous among the locals for it does some chemical magic on its prey, lifts them alive and takes them to its nest, where they are stored in that zombie form for its young ones to feed on when they hatch.

Habitat:

ceilings, trees.

No. It was flying far away somewhere. I could not follow it.
Can you help with the species? The wings are tipped with metallic blue color.
