Lars the name "boletus chrysenteron" is now a synonym. the legitimate name is "Xerocomus chrysenteron". ( http://www.mycobank.org/MycoTaxo.aspx?Link=T&Rec=356935 ). here are some other specimen- ( http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8900437 ).

No, the adult specimen will develop a redish stem and the margins of the cap will turn upside, cracking the pores of the lower side to the upside. I first thought it may be a Bronce or Bay Bolete - but the slight furry texture of the cap was missing. I just read that both species are often confused in juvenile state.
