Field Notes

Description:

This tree is over 350 years old. It was hollow in the center and was filled with cement to stop it from falling over many years ago. The tree has been growing fine since and the hole where they put the cement in is almost gone ( as seen in the second photo). There was a plaque on this historic tree but when I went there today, it was gone. My friend is in the last pic for scale.

Habitat:

North America

Notes:

I spotted this just off Portage Rd. in the north end of the city.
