Description:

Large woody bush with thorns, green leaves and large mounds of hard, red berries. The newer twigs have a copper color.

Habitat:

Full sun with regular watering in landscaped yard in Rancho Santa Fe

This is a native to Southern California and Baja California, Mexico. It is a GREAT shrub to have in the garden if you want to attract local birds. If you're really lucky you can get a flock of Cedar Waxwings to come and eat up all the berries.
