Is a tiger subspecies native India and its neighboring countries. It is the most numerous of the tiger subspecies with population estimated more than 1500.

Thank you very much! Sadly for me (wish it was in the wild) this was spotted in Guwahati Zoo Assam, which is why I was able to take such a close snap. I just took the photo in such a way that it looked to be in the wild. But yeah, a bit east from Guwahati it is Kaziranga National Park which probably has the highest density of Tiger population in the world.
