Field Notes
Description:
Bottom feeders can be around 1-7 pounds. ( could not find any real estimation ) Ground fish live on in or around the bottom of the lake. There is no estimate of how heavy groundfish weigh. Bottom feeders are able to live in the sand. I don't know how fish reproduce. Josie caught it in Mara Lake BC
Habitat:
A bottom feeder is an aquatic animal that feeds on or near the bottom of a body of water. Bottom feeders graze on the bottom and eat plant material. Bigger fish eat the bottom feeders. Bottom feeders help produce sand through there body and onto the bottom of the ocean and in aquariums they are known as the cleaning fish and clean up the glass and bottom of the aquarium.
