Field Notes

Description:

I've seen quite a few horned toad lizards this fall, but the others have all been very small (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7218661). So this one was very big and impressive by comparison. It panicked when I tried to get close with my camera, and ran straight onto my husband's boot... which turned out to be good for scale.

Thanks Noe and Pili. :) I always love horned lizards but this one was especially cool.
