Description:

Adult male box turtle, helped across a busy road. You can tell he's male because of the convex shape of his plastron. He didn't want to come out and say hi but I'm sure he was glad not to be a roadkill.

Habitat:

Temperate woodland, semi suburban. Found on the side of a road.
