Description:
Red-orange color with black vein-like markings and a black border around its wings with white spots. Migration south takes place for most monarchs in the fall. In the spring the original butterfly dies along the way, but the offspring it leaves behind continues on to the north where the cycle will start again in the fall.
Habitat:
Fields, meadows, parks, & gardens.
