Field Notes

Description:

Black and white hoverfly with yellow fuzz and red eyes. The wings are clear.

Habitat:

On flowering evergreen bush in backyard at spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7517144

Notes:

The video has stills as well as a few video clips of its drinking from the flowers, cleaning itself and flying around.

Thank you Jeremy! This hoverfly stayed around for a long time allowing me to get a lot of shots in. I knew I'd eventually get a good shot. The odds were in my favor :)
