Field Notes

Description:

Phyllium giganteum, or fondly called the Giant Leaf Insect is the largest recorded species of Leaf Insects/Phyllium. The females can grow up to 10-11 cm in size. Males are usually smaller at around 8 cm in size.
They are usually green in colour for camouflage among the leafs, with patches of brown. They can also be in yellow to orange in colour. Their wings have veins that looks like the veins of leafs. They have large lobes on their legs to make it looks like smaller leafs.

Not familiar with the plant it was on, @Mark, but that's its food plants, you can see the bite marks. In captivity, they are known to take to Guava and even Rambutans and in Europe, they feeds on Bramble. I have also found other Phyllium species in the wild on guava trees. Thanks, @SarahWhitt :)
That's a brilliant match for the leaf. Do you know the plant?
