Field Notes

Description:

A very popular bird, wide spread all across the USA and breeding from Montana into upper Canada ~ These are breeding colors ! It likes hedge rows and thistles 'n some insects ~ and quite usually found in flocks.

Habitat:

Well these are taken at my feeder in mid-city Billings, MT. pix taken May ~ June 2011 then they moved away to better nesting areas.

Notes:

I'm already wishing it were Spring, and the lovely breeding colors of all the birds who migrate to and through this area of the Great Plains come back.
The snow shall soon fly, till Spring i've about 9 species who hang on for dear life.
Seems the 'up-loader' has a hitch in its Up-load
