I've seen these all over Southern Ontario. The skin is tough and they are sour.

I may have eaten them too soon in the season. I will definitely try again next August.
I'm not sure what species of Vitis this is, but that's too bad it was tough and sour. I was out hiking on the weekend in Short Hills in St. Catharines and was eating a lot of the wild grapes there. The skin was very thin and although some were quite tangy, they were really tasty.
