Field Notes
Description:
Vining plant with beautiful red tubular flowers. Trumpet Honeysuckle "... is commonly grown as an ornamental plant in gardens, for its attractive flowers, and also as one of the best plants to attract hummingbirds." Source Credit: Wikipedia. Photo 3 of 4 was annotated to highlight the plant's "fruit" (red berries); Photo 4 is the original photo. Editor's Note: When I posted this as an unknown spotting, I wrote the following description: "Vining plant with beautiful red tubular flowers that remind me of honeysuckle." Gee, I wonder why the flowers remind me of honeysuckle? Duh, because the plant *is* a species of honeysuckle!
