Field Notes

Description:

Upright, climbing, vine brown-red.
* Leaves compound, divided into 3 glossy OR dull green leaflets!!!
Each up to 4".
*. Red leaves in fall is very conspicuous.
Flowers 1/8", fruit to 1/4" wide, clustered white.
In 2 pics see both green & red leaves in Ga, 10/15/11.

Habitat:

Woods, waste areas, often grows to cover area.

Notes:

*ALL parts of plant have a volatile oil that will can cause Severe skin inflammation, itching & blistering on direct contact OR if borne by smoke!*
IE stand Up Wind of campfires, etc unless you know that NO leaves OR vines are in the fire!
