Field Notes

Description:

Previously Lexias (L. aeropa) of the Archdukes group, now Euthalia, a genus of brush-footed butterflies, including the Barons and Counts groups. It is found in southeast Asia, New Guinea and Australia.

Habitat:

This spotting near a composting heap in a large semi-urban yard & garden, adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.

Notes:

Close to Chazara sp in Satyrinae family...
Now I say its just like one of Barons(Euthalia)
Nice... Its a good one.. Its Brush footed then...!!
I have added the one remaining slightly fuzzy photo in a sitting posture.
Not find in its suitable... Limenitidinae family.... I like to see legs... upload picture if you have...
Oh... Unable to count its legs in Ventral view.. so hard to check... Do you have shot with its legs in seated position..?
