Description:

This American Alligator was swimming silently along when noticed. It apparently did not appreciate the attention as it sank into the water and held still as voices continued and steps could be heard on the boardwalk. Once everything quieted down, it continued on its way.

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature preserve's lake, FL USA.

Notes:

Official state reptile of Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi USA
