Description:

was found walking around on shore in shallow water....lived in area for 30 years and have never seen a hermit crab this large on shore or anywhere near a beach at that....i have never seen a hermit this big in the north east ever....crab itself was about the size of a softball, and the shell was about 10" from tip to tip
