Ashish, quite right. see i'm no botanist, and the only description of "Tricholepis" in both wiki and eol is: "Tricholepis is a genus of flowering plants in the daisy family." perhaps you could further describe the genus to clarify for me? The plant was already identified (thanx Wren) in a previous comment as a Bull Thistle "Cirsium vulgare". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bull_thistle)
We see here similar plant in India.. http://www.flowersofindia.in/catalog/slides/Smooth%20Tricholepis.html
Asteraceae is Daisy family... These all thistle plants classified in Asteraceae... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asteraceae http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cirsium
Ashish: no it is not a daisy, it is a thistle.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thistle)
