Field Notes

Description:

This Red-shouldered Hawk was perched where it could see over both a lake and a forested swampy area. In the time that I watched it, it found nothing of enough interest to cause it to leave its perch.

Habitat:

Local nature preserve. Red-shouldered hawks generally inhabit forests and swamps.
