Field Notes

Description:

small plant on forest floor, green leaves irregularly covered with white dots.
very similar to another spotting but I think it could be a different species

Habitat:

rainforest

Notes:

I spotted this in Luang Nam Tha national protected area in northern Laos.
The common name polka dot plant usually refers to Hypoestes species but I think it's appropriate here as well.

Yeah, rhiannon, this plant will flower. Not sure what they will look like but my guess would be small and probably not that showy but I don't know for sure. You have any ideas?
would this plant go into flower?
Dan both leafs are different... here leafs are look softer... than earlier spotting leafs are little bit harder and not bending.
