Field Notes

Description:

An Arctosa, Wadicosa, Draposa, or Pardosa Wolf Spider (Lycosidae) that have a complexion that camouflages it against the sandy background.
It's legs are striped dark brown and light brown.
It's body length is less than 1cm / 10mm.

Habitat:

Wide sandy land opposite the tower near Sri Kinabalu Resort (former names: BCCM, Aristo) in Kundasang, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:

The stony road towards the tower have spiders that are specially adapted to living under stones, and the sandy land in front of the tower (see map zoomed) have this species of Wolf Spider that are specially adapted to living on sand.
