in some parts of asia nettle leaves are eaten in the form of soup or else as normal vegetable. :) in Tibetan scripts, Milarepa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milarepa), a great yogi survived solely on nettle leaves and thats why we portray him bluish in appearance. :) ;)
