Field Notes

Description:

These are large, thick-bodied owls with two prominent feathered tufts on the head. The wings are broad and rounded. Great Horned Owls are mottled gray-brown, with reddish brown faces and a neat white patch on the throat.

Habitat:

Found in a open area with trees around & a creek near by as well.

Is this an eucalyptus tree? How does it look in person?
Jemma I saw him sleeping in the tree around 330- 4pm
I love owls. Very elusive though. What time of the day was it?
