Thnx, Daniel. interesting though!
Emma, India is definitely not part of Oceania. Unfortunately all the flowers mission descriptions are very generic; what makes them region-specific is their title only. What we can do is ask the team at Noah to make these more specific as to avoid any confusion. There's also a call for the creation of Flowers of Asia and/or Flowers of India missions.
@ Daniel, Going by what the mission statement is "We want you to help us build a photo collection of flowers from around the world. Show us what flowers are blooming near you." i am assuming that this basically means flowers all over the world rather than a specific part for eg Flowers of North America etc etc. It is confusing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oceania i am assuming that india also falls into this category. i am new to the concept too!
Emma, I'm confused. The plant is spotted in India, and I believe it is an Indian native species. How does Oceania fit in?
@ Daniel,it could also be used for the flowers of oceania because it has very small flowers which are white and fragrant. I do see a tinge of white on the plant. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curry_Tree
Sorry Pulkit, Emma is right. This is due to fast "copy and paste" on my part. I meant only the Flowers of Oceania and Fall Into Phenology missions. I put curry leaves in my cooking too ;-)
@ Daniel ,this is perfectly okay for the vegetable varieties mission. We use this leaf intensively in our day to day cooking.
Hi Pulkit! This is a great shot of a curry tree! Please read the descriptions carefully before entering spottings into Missions. This spotting is not appropriate for Vegetable Varieties for Gardeners, Flowers of Oceania or Fall Into Phenology. You can remove it from these missions by editing your spotting.
