Beautiful picture, and beautiful spiral.
you have put it into the wrong category...
:-)i'am not a escargot eater,it's not bad but to me it's not delicious,so i let then alone in the culinary mathers
Helix Pomata love limestone. They are found in abundance where there is limestone. Have you eaten Escargots? I think that Escargots and Helix Pomata are the same. You might want to double check if you are planning on eating those!!
Emma yesterday i pass your question because i doesn't no what it was limestone and whorls,so after seeing the meaning of the words, what i can tell you is that my mother in law was a compulssive collector of stones and mineral's,in the process some years ago(2 or 3)we put the less interesting stones in the yard making borders,so in the meedle there are also limestones and shell's,and other's variated rocks, some from the ccenter of portugal(more calcarius).do the calcium levels influence the number of whorls?
:-)thanks for the elp on the id to both of you ,Emma and Celine,i make the changes
Check the one on my profil, it's the same one ; )
Do you have limestone in your surroundings? This snail has 5 whorls in its shell/ Looks like a helix species.
