Field Notes

Description:

Abdomen about 6mm across, yellow with 2 points toward the rear, marked by a dark spot on each point. There are also 5 small indentations on the abdomen in the shape of a V. Entire spider is bright yellow. I see 6 eyes, tiny dots, 2 small dark coloured claws on the end of the legs and small spines on the legs.

Habitat:

Backyard garden. This spider was found on my Basil plant. No web to be seen.

Looks just like the flower crab spiders I see in my garden, Thomisus sp.
