Description:

Feather moss - poss. feather moss, maybe knight's plume? Each feather approx 7-10cm long. Dark green.

Habitat:

Growing with ferns and oak at the top of an old limestone quarry.

Btw, my money would be on Thuidium tamariscinum, Common Tamarisk-moss. http://www.bbsfieldguide.org.uk/content/thuidium-tamariscinum Whatever it is, it's a gorgeous plant!
