Field Notes

Description:

These orchids were grouped together in several patches over a western facing slope. Other orchids close by (Caladenia ) have yet to identify the species.

Habitat:

west facing slope, stony, some leaf litter, plants were grouped over a few metres, open Eucalypt forest

Notes:

They generally tolerate most weather conditions, however, soil must be quite free draining or a sandy loam
Leaves: narrow-linear to 6 cm long and 1.5 mm wide.

Flower: fan-shaped, pale pink to deep pink and about 1.5 cm across. Sepals and petals with pointed or rounded lobes; dorsal sepal incurved, spring.

Labellum: 3-lobed, recurved narrow mid-lobe with 2 rows of yellowish calli.
