No, not a Cactus. It's a mushroom. I've moved this spotting to the Fungi category. It would be great if you could update the name of this fungus Sarah.
and just the young one , which hasn't any dark coloration at the edge. when it is all white,ok. when it starts to get darker, then it is to late
you're right , they are delicious, but must after collection soon in the pan or gefrigirater (or so!) after some hours the spores begin to liquefy and you will have a black soup in your bag. some say and others not: that you should not use him with alcohol. the compound coprin should react with alcohol. i'm not informed about the newest test. i can just say, when you can be careful, so be it! this is one of my favorites
If I'm right about this, these are delicious! This one's probably a wee bit passed its best though.
