Description:

Small, stocky shorebird

Notes:

I took the photo of the snipe on the shore of the pond on the Chebeague Golf Course and didn't notice the snipe below it until I put the photos on my computer. You have to look quite closely to see.

They are not easy to photo and they are even harder to see. I was one foot away in front of me and I didn't see it until it flew away. They blend into their environment so well.
i managed a few pix of the Wilson Snipe this Summer ~ they are not easy to photo, not to mention they blend in!
