Field Notes

Description:

Large Harvestman of around 14mm body length. Base colour is brown with an orange tinge in some areas. Cephalothorax is covered with a pattern of minute white circles, which extend onto the first two segments of the abdomen. Two prominent spines above the eyes, and two pairs of spines on the abdomen. Found at night.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region near Tena.
