Description:
The Ladybug can range from 1mm to 10mm. They are commonly yellow, orange, or scarlet with small black spots on their wing covers , with black legs, head and antennae. They are found worldwide, with over 5,000 species, more than 450 native to north America alone. The Ladybug will sometimes be one staight color which make them hard to tell what they are.
Habitat:
The Ladybug eats aphids, scale insects, mealybugs, and mites. They are one of the first insects to appear in the spring. Some of them move to higher ground (mountains) to go into to diapause. Ladybugs are found om plants were aphids live. They lay their eggs really close to thier pray, increasing the chance the larvae will find the prey easily. Ladybugs need pollen and they are attracted to specific types of insects.
