Description:

These birds are large crested finch and the male is a bright vivid red with a black mask. The female is a reddish brown and tan.

Habitat:

These cardinals are around our bird feeders all winter

Notes:

During one snow storm we counted 22 cardinals in the trees directly behind the bird feeder.
