Description:

A purple-brown and greenish shieldbug which is covered with tiny brown hairs, which can be seen most easily on the pronotum and legs.. The antennae and connexivum are banded black and white.

Habitat:

They live on plant juice. It is often found on berry plants, where it can suck juice from the berries that get a nasty taste and a bad smell. When the berries are picked, they can easily join and are then frightened and exudes a bad smell from some stink glands on the body side. Therefore the Norwegian name is "bærfis".
