Field Notes

Description:

So far one of the most beautiful bird I have ever captured. Very elegant. A glossy black drongo with tufted forehead and two long wire like spatula-tipped feathers in the tail. When flying it seems two bees are following it. There was a large group around, but could only manage to capture this one. Seen amongst tree pies and jungle babblers. Very noisy and an amazing mimic, confuses into imagining birds which are not present. Eats moths, large insects and relishes flower nectar.

Habitat:

Forests and hills.

Thanks Yogesh I had seen the dragonfly. Waited for long to see if the bird catches it. But, it did not catch it and flew towards the gang of waiting birds. Sorry, I am bad at identifying dragonflies.
g8 series,by the way Satyen can u identify that dragonfly sitted on the same branch?
