Description:

Shiny black beetle approx. 1 inch long.
Also known as Stink Bugs or Clown Beetles

Habitat:

Sonoran Desert

Notes:

These beetles come to my "watering hole". They can spend up to 48 hours floating in the water and not drown. When removed from the water they will lay on the ground for up to an hour, then right themselves and walk away. Do they put themselves in a state of hibernation?
