Description:
Small sandpiper. Short neck. Moderately long bill, with slight droop. Moderately long legs. Black center of rump and tail. Legs black. Back gray-brown with some reddish. Chest usually only lightly marked.
Habitat:
Shallow, inland sea--the Great Salt Lake.
