Description:

The willet is a large sandpiper. This willet was foraging in the surf with other (smaller) sandpipers.

Habitat:

This is an eastern willet, living along the coast. This spotting was made on the FL gulf coast.

Notes:

The willet is protected under the Migratory Birds Treaty Act in the USA.
