Description:
White slowers with sweet odour, intensified by drying. This legume sometimes grown for forage, honey production and for its nitrogen fixing ability in preparing agricultural soil for future crops. It can grow up to 2 meters in height. Flowers from July - September.
Habitat:
Native to Europe and Asia. Introduced to North America in the 17th century for cattle forage purposes and is now widespread throughout Canada and the United States, where it has become invasive and can outcompete native plant species.
Often found on fallow land, along roadsides or train rails.
