Hi Urifah... Its originated from Indian sub continent... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clitoria_ternatea
@ ceherzog...nice I need your assistance in this spotting, :)
I've noticed that there are many, many NA plants in India. Plants get around.
I just found the info that this Clitoria origin is from America
You can use following link to identify many of common plants in South Asia. Once you able to find their family (what is Fabaceae here) name...!! http://www.flowersofindia.in/botanical.html
@ Ashishnimkar...yea, and I just know the name and this varieties after joining this project
No surprise to find it in Indonesia... Cute spotting..!!!
yea....I tried to grow the seed, unfortunately I was fail, but sure I will try again later, due to the beautiful flower
You may not even have that butterfly where you live...just curious.
I did not find a cut. But I found this one was not domesticated plant. it was wild, I saw it on the coastline.
You're most welcome. Do you see any cut & folded leaves on the plant? Here in Florida it is a host plant for the Long-tailed skipper butterfly. Here's a shot of one from my school garden: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7642619 (It also uses beans)
@ Ceherzog thanks again for assistance :)
Urifah, Do you know how to edit your siting to insert the proper name? There's an Edit this spotting link in the upper right hand corner. If you want me to do it for you I would be happy to.
@ coleen @ ceherzog thank you to both of you
