Resplendant Quetzal

Habitat:

Cloud Forest of Costa Rica at high elevation feeding on fruit of a wild avocado species.

Notes:

There was great hubbub about where to go to find the Quetzal. We got lucky when we accidentally came across this one on a short walk down the river. We also saw the female briefly & got this picture in the shadows. Eric
