Description:
Clump of this dainty daisy like aster in my back garden. Bee's still interested (last day noted for the Ruby Throated Hummingbird here before their journey south). Perennial Herb, 2 to 5 feet tall, stout root crown, upper stems branched: Leaves: Basal oblanceolate, petioled, 1 to 4 inch long; alternate - linear to elliptic, becoming sessile upward. slightly toothed. Flowers: Ray flowers white.
Habitat:
Old fields and wild hedge-rows.
