Description:

This is a rodent, it has a prehensile tail that is long and fleshy. Its body is covered with thick hairs of black color hidding long thorns that to the simple contact it release and inlay causing great pain to who receives it. In the ventral part it has not thorns, reason why the young does not have problems in sucking. In spite of being clumsy, timid and inoffensive, it can defend with bites and the natural protection of its dangerous thorns, which follow very easily, but cannot voluntarily shoot it as erroneously some people believe.
