Description:

This was a very sad spotting today. We met a friend at the beach who said it had not been there yesterday so must have come up on the beach sometime last night or this morning. This is the third dead turtle along this stretch of beach this year, which is especially sad as there had not been any recordings of them in this area for 10 years. I hope the local government takes steps to protect these lovely creatures. Long Beach, Kuşadası, Turkey.

Thank you Chris Carille for your identification. All the reports here had called it a Logger Head but I was not sure. Looking up the details for the Green Sea Turtle that looks a lot closer match and are found in Turkey.
